Phase 3 Map:
State of Expedition as of June 2nd, 2026

Sunday Afternoon, May 31
Wayward Wanderers

Expedition 7 – Headed to M, L14 and K13.

M14 – Stegosaurus. Skirted it.

L14 – Terrain becomes swampy, and miasma becomes worse. Decided to spend 6 hours searching. Found:

  • A lot of Kuo-Toa tracks, most headed further into the swamp.
  • No signs of settlements or civilization, but signs of intelligent life are present.
  • Some small, very ancient and overgrown statues. Eroded, with no runes. Similar craftsmanship to the other ruins. Same creators?
  • Cave that had recently been occupied. Fire and equipment. A few weeks old. Fire appeared to have burned itself out. The bedroll was laid out. Had left abruptly. Pack contained various items of note -> Spyglass, navigators tools. Sailor?
  • Outside of cave, signs of struggle, Kuo-Toa prints and dragging mark.

Had to leave due to time. We think the person may have been a sailor from the shipwreck found by wrath of the small.

During return – M14 – Encountered 5 Kuo-Toa, which we defeated.

Expedition 8
Headed back out to L14 through M14.
M14 – Ooze. Skirted.
L14 – 8 humanoid skeletons. Defeated them. Took clothing samples.

Sunday Morning, May 31

J8 – Encountered medium sized scorpions feeding on a plesiosaur. We go ashore and engage. We kill them without much trouble. We harvest their tails to collect their poison later. Continue on to…

H8 – Lady on the beach. She offered fruit and refreshments, asking us to help her and her two sisters. She is Kathra. We were about to leave when she transforms into a hag – we bloodied her quickly and she called in her two sisters Thalasa & Morveth.

Saturday Morning, May 30

Went back to ruins after attempting to figure out how to teleport at the ruins in town.

Met a “friendly” beholder named Themanus at N15.
Fought Raptors at O16.
Displacer Beasts at O17, went past did no attack.

Got back to ruins, big ruin bridge, force walls that stop us from passing without figuring out puzzle.

Lucked out and got the first rune right.
LOTS of psychic damage when wrong rune chosen.

… was first tile.

Thursday, May 28

We returned from our travel and experiment so our group traveled out to a cave that is a day’s journey from port. The cave is behind a waterfall. We tried to sleep inside it and hopes we not go mad. I went mad and sacrifice went mad. We had been contaminated by the miasma. We were unable to and Sacrifice snapes and almost killed me. The others were not contaminated and they slept and did not go MAD. Also the war forged slept in the water and they were mentally well throughout the journey. So maybe travel by water/sleep within water keeps miasma away.

Wednesday, May 27
Expedition 3 Concluded, 4 Start

Journey back to PM. See 20′ bioluminescent jelly fish (S17)

S16 – Still odd, lingering bioluminescence. Close look suggests no life at all in the water.
R15 – Ship attached by half octopus/man creature. Able to defeat. Unable to ID.

Return to PM, cleanse, go to collegium for ID of creature and report. Tasked to return for details.

Expedition 4
S16 – See carrion birds and disturbed water feasting on a whale carcass.
S18 – Pod of dolphins circle ship
S19 – Check in with Valferrix on way to henge.

Sunday Morning, May 24
First arrival to Port Meridian

Sailed North of the port to:
N11 – Noted jungle covered in spiderwebs.
M11 – More webs. 5 ghouls on the breach. Passed by without engaging.
L11 – More webs.
K10 – Saw two Displacer beasts on the shore peaking out of the jungle.
K9 – 5 ghouls still following us.

Saturday Morning, May 23
Wrath of the Small

Expedition 6
Plan: returning to ruins with more sacrifices.

Way there:

N15: Bone Naga Encountered again (Same Naga?).
O16: Ghasts, dealt with.
O17: Giant Ape! Ran away.

The bone naga spoke to us! It must be ancient.

Asked if we worshipped [‘Osiris?’] or [‘Amul’Zeith?’, he who recalls the stars]

Threatened all those on the new world, told us to pass on a message to the port, “Leave or be subjugated.”

Said next time there will be no talking, left VERY quickly.
Made it back to snake statue in the ruins, figured out fourth rune!

Received magic scimitar, and told we are worthy of first test, and only the strong may possess Star Magic knowledge.

Next Room:
Theatre mask doors and eight instruments. Play the tone which resounds for each of the six notes on the descending scale, constellation for each note!

Room of Knowledge!

5 doors, including the entrance, and five warrior statues on plinths, needs further investigation.

Important Part: Walls of Books and Scrolls!

Cast Mending before touching! Very Old.
Comprehend languages works. Eleven scraps of text recovered, Incredibly Valuable discovery!

Genuine writings from the ancient civilization, this changes everything. Many more texts exist than we could check, much work to be done.

On Return, ran from a giant tree thing in O16 and sone spiders in N15. Got knowledge back safely.

Thursday, May 21
Experimentation sleeping in the cave K15

L14 – Found ruins and magic stones in icky swamp. They have magic glow to them but goes away when disturbed.

L15- Was disturbed traveling all day the miasma clings to my clothes it clings to my mind. Can’t sleep the voices are angry, tired, can’t sleep. The other one of us that the miasma clings to he tried to kill me his mind and my mind hear different thing see different thing. The others who don’t collect the miasma over the day they don’t here. They don’t understand the stars are wrong, the ocean leaks in. We need a better net.

Wednesday, May 20
Expedition 2 – Still at S19

S19 – Investigated ghast corpses. Clothing looked very old. Located next part of cobblestone highway, see ruts of wheels in the road. Follow road to S20.

S20 – (Scouted) See two velociraptors in distance, lured closer with meat. Bard cast animal friendship on one, gets it to follow us.

Discover black stone obelisk floating point down. Notice background noise is muffled. Surrounded by other standing stones. Notice markings on obelisk. Party member outside ring can’t hear those inside. Markings on obelisk seem decorative, not runes. No symbols on outer stones.

Head back to boat along road. Hear what seems to be voices. Cast comprehend languages, sounds like people arguing over what our party might hear. Revealed to be a beholder. Toys with party, some take damage, but party runs away!

S19 – Stop by dragon lair, recognized the beholder as Malterix(sp?). Suggested it speaks Virexian. Notice Veltharix is wearing golden circlet.

Sunday Afternoon, May 17
Wayward Wanderers – Expedition 4

Headed up to J10-12/I12.* (Corrected: O.P.)
On the way, various dinosaurs, but nothing very noteworthy.
Disembarked J9 and encountered three Dilophosaurus. We killed them, but Grognak was down twice while in the miasma. He returned to the boat while the rest of the party continued.

Upon reaching J10 we were attacked by a wyvern, which killed Bran and attempted to flea with his body. We killed it before it could escape. Retrieved Bran’s body and harvested the wyvern. Returned to Port early as we were down to party members got cleansed and had Bran revived, rested and headed back out.

Expedition 5.

J11 – fought and killed three Koa-Toa and followed their footprints into J 12. Spotted possibly a will’-o-wisp and entered a swamp. Likely the source of the Koa-Toa.

Saturday Morning, May 16
Wrath of the Small – Expedition 5

Retuned to trial Ruins.
Way there:
N15: Tyrannosarus Rex
N16: Quectzalcoatl
017: Zombies

Avoided all encounters. Reached ruins once more.
Took 4 hours to build bridge across acid.

not any common element, plant, stone, tree branch, diamond, torch, fork, lantern, rations, snake tongue.

Plan to return with more objets!

Thursday, MAY 14
The Chimeric Wanderers

Rector Vor @ the Obelisk Collegium is studying our rune stone.

M14: Shambling plant crossed with starfish?
(Same as shambling vines from O17?)
Does BiG necrotic spray damage be careful!!!
Tentacle attack! Spray disintegrates!
Run away!

L14: Swamp, Kuo Toa fishies swarm us.
Killed them, huzzah!

Wednesday, May 13
Directionally Challenged

H8 – Hag Fight Continued. Lead hag was Kathra. Injured her and successfully disengaged back to the ship. Decided to return to Port Meridian staying away from shore.

PM – Reported river at A1 and that Northern Storm Wall was unmoved. Tasked to build river boat to explore. Rested and recovered in town.

Expedition 3
Headed back to visit Dragon at S19.
S19 – Made deal with Valferix to explore, found sign of ruined cobblestone road. Followed road to complex of ruins with a henge in the center.

Hear voices when stepping in between stones.

Miasma settles in low ground but stays 5’ to 10’ clear of standing stores. Ruins appear to be 1000+ years old. Symbols on henge. Circle seems to be vibrating. Attacked by undead, ID’d as ghasts and killed them.

Sunday Afternoon, May 10
Wayward Wanders – Expedition 2

Headed to H9 and H10.
On the way
N11-small dinosaur.
M10-Large gorilla, Chased us away.
L10-three Dilophosaurus.
K9- More small dinosaurs. Were being chased by Dilophosaurus.
J8-Deinonychus.
H8-entered the jungle and were almost immediately attacked by Kuo Toa-a fish-like people. They threw sticky nets at us. Their leader was capable of Magic, so We suspect intelligence.
Killed five of them. No casualties on our end.
H9- Ran into Razorvine.

Returned to Port Meridian for cleansing. Were asked to investante the Kuo Toa. Slept, and then headed out for G8.

Expedition 3

G8- Miasma seemed to grow thicker as we went deeper into G8. It also seemed to get higher on our legs. The thicker Miasma seemed to be going Northward, surging from the south.

It moved like a wave, with tendrils that make it seem alive.
We moved North, to F-7.
F7- Encountered a red beholder kin. Killed it easily.
F7 determined generally uninteresting.
During our return, noted black, oily water in hex L8.
Arrived at the Fort, received cleansing.

SATURDAY, MAY 9
Wrath of the Small – Expedition 4 cont…

Continued into the trials of the ruins.
Very difficult, much damage taken, FaIth died in pool of acid. Second room Key is white Crystal found on wall.

Third room we were able to time the gusts and cross 3rd bridge. Faith fell in, died.

Next room had statue of merilith with 6 arms, 4 offering bowl and 2 swords.

Tried casting various spells and cantrips in bowls, wrong spells teleported caster out of dungeon. Attacking statue brought other snake statues to life.

Bowl runes:

fire because druid craft fire seemed to work.

Couldn’t figure out the rest, hightailed it back to town.

Saw two living plant enemies and 4 zombies on the way back in N17 and N16.

Made it back; got Faith back, cleansed, rested. Ready to go again!

Thursday, MAY 7th
The Chimeric Wanderers

K15 continued…
Miasma-crazed old man is a druid, “Grath”.

He rambles: “Stones sing, listen to them… wrong stars, pull the net tighter. Very paranoid about Fish?? Fish in swamps.

*Found a rune stone:

March back to Port Meridian.

L15 – Grick.
M15 – Ambushed by 3 Fish people with sticky nets.
N15 – Tyrannosaurus Rex! We throw meat at it & run.

Report back & try to use rune stone at the henge… nothing but humming.

Marshall Kest gives us special dispensation to try + spend a night in Grath’s cave to see if the miasma effect is different / negated / less etc.

Level 2!!

Pro-tip: Grath gets upset when asked about expedition, but can be persuaded to calm down. And be a big purring kitty.

Wednesday, May 06
Directionally Challenged

T19 – Successfully sailed away from a Gauth, retuned to port Meridian.

R14 – (ocean) On way back encountered mass of dead Fish with human teeth. Seemed to be deep sea killed from pressure.
*Party member got Miasma on ocean

Port Meridian:
Reported fish, ruins and dragon to Obelisk Collegium. Got mission to check northern storm wall, sail next day. Smooth Days Sailing to D3 – Saw dinosaur, sail on to stormwall.

C2. hear bells.

A1 – see stormwall, looks unmoved, notice mouth of river.

H8 – see woman on beach, waving and running, shouting for help. Launch long boat to investigate. She says from PM. Refused to get on boat, transformed into hag.

Sunday Afternoon, May 3
Expedition 1

Party Ventured towards I8.
While passing M10 and L10 noted large continuous spider Web.

I8 encountered Ankhegs, guarding a nest.
Two party members were temporarily downed and one was killed.

Farther into the woods, saw a Tyrannosaurus, as well as four small raptors.

Found a ruin, Millenia old. It had a circle of standing stones, which appear to have runes on them. Runes and stones appeared deliberately damaged, as though struck With a hammer.

However, the Miasma did not extend into the circle. When standing inside it voices stopped. Took rubbings of the damaged runes, though they were so heavily damaged they are unlikely to be useful.

Headed back to port meridian for cleansing.

Saturday, May 2
Wrath of the Small – Expedition 3

Went to explore ruins near Town, with a rogue From the Obelisk Collegium.

O16 found millennia old ruins, attacked by Stirges. Found on old road which we followed to next hex. (Hex explored)

O17 fought a constrictor snake, scouted Hex. Found a large Yuan-ti statue with V rune on the front. Yuan-ti’s orb lit-up and projected mind words.

Paraphrased:
“You stand before the threshold, are seen and measured.
Rune is not symbol, is Alignment.
Star is not light, is Law.
Those before bent the sky… were broken by it.
You will be tested in knowledge, precision, will. Failure will be culled.
Step forward Aspirant!”

Returned to Port Meridian, stalked by dinosaurs.
Exp 4: went back out next day to O17, encountered shambling vines in O16, avoided and went to Statue,
Found ruins behind statue, (maybe test?), had an incident with traps, and activated azure fiend casting.

Thursday, April 30
The Wanders

First Expedition of The Wanderers, We traveled to M15, found a Grick and then found a Grell – the creepy tentacles with the Brain. Also got Stalked by x3 dinosaurs with frills on L15. We were able to deceive them with the grick meat and so we got away.

Then on K15 we found a river and waterfall and there was some old Bridges and a Cave with an older man who seems to have had too much time in the fog, he might be crazy.

Wednesday, April 29
Directionally Challenged – Expedition 2

We took a long rest and cleansed the Miasma. Stayed for 4 days to craft scale mail armour at Port Meridian. 

Akemenos spoke to Provost. Mentioned we should check out the henge and get rubbings of ruins.

Went to Henge – 5 upright standing stones. They all have 5 giant ruins. As they are approached a hum comes from the Henge.

Had visit from Commodore Ilara Sorn. She gave us a map that reflects boundaries of Stormwall (Stormwall could be moving). She asked us to test boundaries to confirm coordinates.

Took ship to Hex P16: Close to shore. Remarkably calm. We see dinosaur. Stegosaurus does not seem affected by miasma.

Hex Q17: See another Grick, carry on to S18.

Hex S19: See several humanoids. They follow use. We left them behind. We continue and find large ruins on how hills at the end of Hex S19.

Find orrery with green dragon in it. Dragon is friendly. Made rubbings of ruins.

Dragon is named Veltherix. Orrery seems to be magic. Virexian Dragon. Hop on ship and head back.

Hex T19: Sort of Beholder emerges. Moving faster than the ship.

Satuday, April 25
Wrath of the small – Expedition 2

Took a boat up the coast, and encountered a shipwreck at Hex J4.

HexJ4: 4 Harpies on a shipwreck in a reef.
The fight went well, found some magic items.
The boat had a journal indicating it was not part of the charter and appeared to be a few years? old.

Returned to Port Meridian, no incidents.

Addendum: A Quick trip out the gates, “just a few feet.”

Miasma seemed thicker at night, and felt as if we were being observed by one or several presences. Saw skeletons outside, attacked them (why? a quick trip huh?) Corbin downed, brought up, dissociated and attacked us briefly, then we retreated back into the gate.

Wednesday, April 22
Expedition 1

Party ventured close to coastline on Hex Q16: Grick is observed on the beach, Almost died. We have all been exposed to miasma

Grick is dead. Bodger unconscious.
Traveled back to Port Meridian for a Miasma Cleanse. Bodger in need of 3 days to cleanse Miasma.

Saturday Morning, April 18
Wrath of the Small – Expedition 1

Party ventured North up the Coast in search of a reported Shipwreck about halfway to the Stormwall. On Charter Ship.

Observed on the coastline:

  • Hex K9: skeletons observed on bench, swords.
  • Hex H8: Axebeaks spotted on shore, Dangerous! Behaving as expected – Unaffected by the mist? Bright Plumage, Possibly a new Species!
  • Hex F6: Zombies, very old clothing, tattered, not from the Charter.
  • Hex E5: Attacked by a Wyvern on the boat, which killed Faith in one strike and attempted to flee with her corpse. Was struck down before it could reach the trees. Ventured ashore to harvest the corpse when a Bone Naga emerged. We retrieved Faith’s corpse and the wyvern tail and retreated to the ship, while the Bone Naga retreated into the trees with the remaining wyvern corpse. The Naga refused attempts to communicate (sentient but in the fog-undead resists?)

Returned to Port Meridian for Resurrection, encountered nothing on the return (Travelled through deeper winter, no coast view.)
