4. NEW OFFICIAL BOOKS
Three official new WotC D&D sourcebooks are out:
– Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun
– Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun
– Eberron: Forge of the Artificer
All of these contain new and updated rules and game features, including new spells, character class features, magic items, etc. To be honest, they are underwhelming and a little disappointing compared to past books like Tasha’s or Xanathar’s. The Eberron book in particular is wafer thin. 🙁 Still, we will be adding them to the officially sanctioned list for the PureRAWdnd Shared Campaign, but not until AFTER the Battle Royal, so as not to introduce any potentially unbalancing variables.
The one feature I would encourage everyone to read is the Circle Spell Casting from p.139 of Heroes of Faerun. That’s the only exciting change to speak of, from my point of view.
