Happy Holidays fellow Denizens,
Hope you are enjoying your holidays! The Griffons Den is very excited for 2025 and the many adventures that are coming next year!! Lots of exciting news to share below….
All our adult 5e campaigns are now full; we are opening a new Saturday afternoon time-slot from 2-5 PM. Beginner level 1 Tomb of Annihilation campaign starting soon! Explore the jungle island of Chult with an old-school hex crawl in this quest to end the Death Curse and defeat the arch-lich Acererak once-and-for-all(??)!
2. New Sourcebook Added:
Hoard of the Dragon Queen has been added to the Valid Sourcebooks list, which includes the Insignia of Claws magic item, an important option for druids and animal friends.
3. Changes to Glavius Vendor Rules:
A massive influx in magic items being sold to Glavius has resulted in a market bubble crash. Glavius will now only purchase one magic item from each character each inter-session gap, and will only pay 25% (rather than 50%) of his rarity-based selling price.
4. New TTRPG Games!
We are excited to announce the scheduling of three new TTRPGs at the Griffons Den: Call of Cthulhu on Mondays, Pathfinder on Tuesdays, and Starfinder on Wednesdays. Waitlists are open and the campaigns will start as soon as we reach the minimum of 4 players. Spread the word to anyone who may be interested!
5. Friday One-Shots:
Starting in January The Griffons Den will host a rolling mix of one-shots on Friday evenings.
These will be stand-alone adventures like a “Pick-Up Game” in hockey or WoW, featuring D&D one-shots, samples of other TTRPG systems, Big Bad Boss Battles, and a monthly Battle Royale with one free month of Den membership (and bragging rights!) for the winner.
No membership required for these one-shots. This “commitment free” format is ideal for:
• beginners wanting to try it out before committing to a long-term weekly campaign.
• shift-workers and others who have irregular schedules that make weekly campaigns difficult.
• trying out different TTRPGs such as Pathfinder, Starfinder, Call of Cthulhu, etc.
• unorthodox D&D session formats, such as solo and team battle royale (Hunger Games style!) or stand-alone boss fights against iconic D&D enemies.
• DM workshops.
Register separately for each, in advance online. Sessions typically start at 6 PM and run 3-4+ hours.
Onwards to Glory!
